Become a Friend

According to Win Arn researchers and multiple other surveys—86 percent of those who come to Christ do so through a friend or family member. Americans who are putting their trust in Jesus Christ are doing so one at a time—not in groups. This reality provides a wonderful opportunity for each of us individually who are willing to reach out and make a friend or simply to nurture our relationships with lost loved ones.

At Quest, we believe that God has intentionally done this to give each of us the privilege of being His ambassadors and the joy of seeing others commit their lives to the Lord. However, statistics also show that the average Christian, after attending church for only two years, has “zero” meaningful relationships with lost people. The fact is that we tend to pull away from those who have different value systems and the process of re-entering the lost community must take place as an intentional decision. Jesus Himself worked this out and became known as a “friend of sinners”. Let’s follow that example and learn how to naturally and creatively begin the process of befriending the lost. Some of our ideas include, supper six dinners, spending $25 in 25 creative ways, or in acts of random kindness. We provide not only the training but also the encouragement to begin being a friend of the lost for the glory of God.

Decide today to get involved…contact us and we’ll discuss together how your unique situation can lead you to follow in Jesus’ footsteps and be a true friend of sinners.
